How does it work?
In this document, we will tell you how RawFlight works
We use different solutions to provide the most powerful and the fastest Flight Tracking Experience. That’s why we support ALL Feeding methods. If you know another method that is not mentioned in our knowledge base, please do not hesitate to contact us and tell us about it! We will test it and will write about it. If it will become popular and easy, we will rework it and make it as a script.
Currently we support 4 methods:
- Virtual Radar Rebroadcast
- Root script that uses any Dump1090 you use
- Non-root script that uses any Dump1090 you use
- ModeSMixer2 Rebroadcast
All these methods are doing the same thing – they are making your Receiver to Feed RawFlight. We accept data on port 48581. We chose high port number, because using it does not require root privileges.
Data from your Receivers are being sent in two formats:
> BaseStation – standard data that you can read by connecting to port 30003 on your Receiver
> AVR/Beast – binary data.
These data are being sent to ModeSMixer Virtual Machine that merges all feeds to one, large Feed and rebroadcasts it to another Virtual Machine where Virtual Radar Server is installed
